For what reason did you start genealogy research?
I like history and I am fascinated by the connection to history that I find in researching my family's past. I recently took a position as Local History and Genealogy Resources Librarian in a library system in Oklahoma and that prompted me to get more deeply involved.

Hi Kathryn, I see that you are researching the Brinlee and McKinney families, so that must mean that we are related. Since Sims is also on the list, I would guess that you are descended from either Margaret Leake Brinlee or Hiram Brinlee, Jr. through James Edward Brinlee? My line is from Hiram Jr. through Lawrence Carroll Brinlee. Look forward to hearing from you!
