For what reason did you start genealogy research?

I like history and I am fascinated by the connection to history that I find in researching my family's past. I recently took a position as Local History and Genealogy Resources Librarian in a library system in Oklahoma and that prompted me to get more deeply involved.

Since Sims is also on the list, I would guess that you are descended from either Margaret Leake Brinlee or Hiram Brinlee, Jr. through James Edward Brinlee?
