To Karin NAYLOR: Yes Karin, the Dahlbys are my mother's side of the family. Her father, four of his brothers and one sister all emigrated to Minnesota from Sweden, via Norway, beginning in about 1881. All of my maternal Aunts & Uncles were born in Norway except one. I saw a message from your daughter Tera DAHLBY on this page. If her husbands family can trace their background to Minnesota, Western Wisconsin, or Washington state, we may be related.

Here is my email: Ltmyers44@gmail.com. I can send photos tomorrow. I have a SCGS meeting tonight. Yes, it is exciting. I haven't been able to find out much on William so I have pretty much let that line go for a while. I also have a obit for Eliza A. Naylor, died Feb. 22, 1877.

Hi Karin,
Sounds like this could be a match. My William and wife Ann also came to Michigan. They had children: Samuel, Sarah, William H., and Martha Jane (my gg-grandmother). She married Nelson Pratt. I have some old pictures of the family. One of them is probably William.

Hello Karin
I have a photo of a descendant to me, a child to my grandfather´s brother Gustaf Olson. On this photo is the name Spokane and a flag. Can you look at it and perhaps give a comment.

Hi Karin - thanks for your response. My mom's family was mostly PA Germans with some Scotch Irish added to the mix. Their names included Kleckner Kraemer Koch Snook Bartels and of course Wolford. There were some Wolfords in the Muncy Hills of Northumberland Co. But they didn't stay long. The Scotch Irish was Ferguson and Allen.

My Byrne or Burns is from Ireland to Boston and eventually to Syracuse and Cazenovia NY areas. Just about all of the stayed there. My grandmother Catherine Burns who married Clarence Avery moved with her family to Steelton PA and then to Harrisburg. Do know any who moved west.

Good luck with your novel. I have a bunch of journals to transcribe. That is a winter project.

To access the chatroom , just click on Chat and then Join the Chat and you are there.

Hi Karin-
We received the information on Meta and Claus' family last night, it was a shock, as we assumed it would have been Claus, Meta, Louise, Martha Cox and maybe Claus' parents or sibling, but as Martha was the only child to appear on the census with Meta and Claus, we had no idea about the other children. I'm hoping to find the death information on the children to see what the cause of death was, I don't know how Meta dealt with it either, she must have been an amazingly strong woman.

thank you!
