Finding John Gilleland

Am hoping to network with those researching the Gilleland/Gilliland name.  I have a John Gilleland buried in Decatur Coiunty Indiana about 1834.  Marker says 5th PA Regiment Rev War and thats about all I know.  I do know he originally came into Indiana and settled in Union Couinty, then moved to Decatur County.  Buried adjacent to him is my 5th Great Grandfather John Gilliland. He was in the War of 1812.so most likely is to young to be old Johns son.  I do know young John married Susanah Harris…See More

Looking for information on the Lees coming to western KY from TN. Have son of David (Mack) botn Chattanooga, TN but can't go any further. They settled in Calloway/Marshall county KY but so far this is the end of the line and my brick wall. Mosf on ancestry.com have David as the son of Zachariah in VA, but I can find no documents to confirm this connection. Any help would be appreciated.See More

Lookingfor information on this branch.  John and Phoebe were married around 1790 moved to Indiana and settled in Bartholomew County.  Founded a little town called Newbern.   Believe William and Peter stayed in North Carolina.  Son Aaron was a circuit riding preacher and pastored many small churches in frontier Indiana from 1820's to 1880's.See More
