As the last son of the last son in my McCartney line, I'm interested in documenting the rather colorful & tragic family history. I'm also interested in contacting any other McCartney, MaCartney or McCarty families in y DNA Haplogroup E3b, which is also known as E1b1b.

No I don't run the site. But I know what site you are talk about. What Egbert obit out of Iowa, do you have? When my Egbert's lefted Ohio, they came to Iowa. I would be interested in the obits and story's. I'm going to an Egbert Reuion later on this month.

John, I'm also researching the Egbert name. It looks like our common ancestor was John Egbert and Martha. I'm from their son James Egbert and Sarah Smith. If my information is right. James and Peulis Paul were brothers. I have an Egbert group.

John it looks like our common ancestor was Daniel Axtell b.1673 MA. You come from his son Ebenezer and I come from Edenezer's brother Thomas, so that makes us some kind of cousin!
