I found your information on Genealogy Wise (from about 2007).  I read that you are interested in the Kassens family and their relations in the USA.  We may be related, going back to the early 1800’s.  Here are my ancestors:

Caspar Memering (b. Abt. 1815-1820 in Esterwegen)

married Thecla Kassens (b. in Esterwegen? Abt. 1820-1824)

married Abt. 1847? in Indiana, USA?, had 3 children

There are many immigrants from Esterwegen who settled in the area around the city of Vincennes, Indiana (Knox and Greene counties in Indiana).

I am trying to find more information about the Caspar Memering from Esterwegen and his wife, Thecla/Thekla/Tekla Kassens.  We have found a probable brother for Caspar, a Hermann Memering, who was born April 3 or 8, 1811 In Esterwegen and lived near Caspar in Indiana.  I am hoping you may have some information for Caspar and Thecla.

If we are related, I would be happy to send you many more details on all of the people and children mentioned above (100+ descendents of Thecla Kassens).
