Noticed the photo.....that's my family. Everyone except one child is actually named and accounted for - per my research and contacts with multiple descendants of the folks listed in the photo.

Photo was taken on the porch of William Perry Drake's daughter's house, Cora Estelle (Drake) Earlywine. I have been to the site - in Friend, NE. The structure is no langer there. It is in town ---- my cousin, Daniel Drake (native of Friend & currently residing there) says it was basically located where a Pentecostal/Full Gospel Church is now standing.

I knew Cora's son, Leland. Her grandson, Lloyd was a close friend to my father (both born in Friend, NE), Leland was a long-time friend of my Grandfather, Daniel "CHET" Chester Drake. Chet's father was the eldest son of William Perry Drake; Charles Clifford Drake. Chet was well known amongst the Drake relatives & had frequent communications with many of them throughout the years.

Chet had an older brother (also named William Perry Drake). Uncle Perry (as he was often called) seem to visit many of the Drake relatives who lived on the West Coast/ Pacific Northwest. He was definitely a character - one people remember. HA!

This photo was taken while there was still snow on the ground.
