My former brother-in-law, Hwd. Fabeing Twiggs, Esq., of Raleigh, attended both old Wake Forest Law School and the one in Winston-Salem. My Savage line is old Capt. Thomas Savage, Indian translator of the Eastern shore of Virginia, Col. Obediance Robbins, et al. Jim, Southport, N.C. Have plenty of old French Canadian ancestors.

Hi Jayne - you have a couple names that I have. Byrne in Syracuse NY and Cazenovia NY.- James Byrne b. ca 1817 in Ireland m. Catherine Broderick . Their son James married Margaret Ford. Also you have Avery. Their daughter Catherine married Clarence London Avery. They were my grandparents.
