ther is a periodical that i cant find it was about an award given in belgium Charles III a blue star

I came across this.

as you can see Zol is a possible variant among Dutch and German families which is believed he may have come from.

De Groningse familie Sol heeft een Duitse oorsprong. Stamvader Johan Christiaan Zoll kwam in 1752 vanuit het Hessische dorp Allendorf naar Nederland, waar hij als soldaat in dienst trad van het staatse leger. Hij woonde in diverse garnizoenssteden en vestigde zich omstreeks 1764 definitief in de stad Groningen. Hij kreeg een omvangrijk nageslacht, dat zich verspreidde naar Oost-Groningen en Oost-Drenthe. In de jaren twintig vertrokken enkele nazaten naar West-Canada. Van de recente generaties treft men in dit familieboek ook gegevens over nazaten in vrouwelijke lijn aan.

There are some Zolls in Southwestern Indiana in the USA. The ones I know are from Perry County,Indiana.
