What area of Canada are you researching your MacLennans?
My husband is from central Ontario, but the first ancestor Roderick MacLennan (originally from Inverness?) settled in Whitchurch, York county circa 1840's, later moved to Simocoe, with Andy's immediate family moving to Muskoka. His great grandfather John (s of Roderick) married Mary McKay (d. of Alexander McKay) of Puslinch twp. Wellington county. Alexander had emigrated from Barr Killean, Ross and Cromarty in 1858.
