Hi, Yes, I am supposed to have 2 William, on my list,
Edna wrote the list like htis, Going to our generation back, Sarah Beales, married to John Mills Jr. then to John Beales, Jr, married to Sarah Bowater,, then to Mary Clayton,
then to Clayton, of south of downs Chichester, England, to Burlington New Jersey 1677 to Chester, Penn 1681 !st Judge, then to Thomas Clayton, heir of Clayton Hall, then to William Clayton Married to Margaret Cholmondeley, then Thomas clayton, married to Anguis Thornhill,, daughter of John Thornhill. fixby NY, then to John Clayton Founder Of Clayton hall,,in Yorkshire,,,,,

She has the William Clayton in book 2x's One Clayton being William Clayton married to Anguis Thornhill, and Is Governor Of Penn for 1 year,,and one, William Clayton being from the Is Governor, William Clayton, of Chichester WHO was the 1st JUDGE of Penn,,, One married to Angus Thornhill, the other married to Prudence Miller Mickle, Prudence Lanckford. Somehow Thomas Clayton is connected, they are Father and son, Thomas Clayton 1st Governor for 1 yr of Penn was related to Joshua Clayton 1st Governor of the other 2 nd state set up, they were cousins,,then there is a new book I have from another relative out , this relative is related to William Of Chichester the 1st Judge of Penn his son was another famous William Clayton who became a famous Judge in PENN, and there is a book entirely on him and his life. This relative I will email and invite to be on here, Paul is his name he contacted me, He said the bloodline was in the book, and I have it somewhere which takes the William od Chickester the JAILBIRD haha who did not want to pay a FINE, and served a short jail time, maybe because of justice, who knows! But he was Judge and his son a famous judge, in Penn with same name and is related to William Clayton the governor and then back to the Mainwarings, all down as I have written,,So there is a mix up people are going off of people work that is not completed. I will find that list and email OUR RELATIVE who on his side Twins came again, Thanks, amy

Hi, Yes that would be great! I found that the two separate Clayton Homes,/mansions, They are the same Clayton's, family. The William became the first Governor who had my twin Mary Clayton. This is for sure because my great grandmothers ( Joy Harvey, who was like my mother to me) fathers( Cyrus Harvey I have a book on him) mothers parents died when she was very young, and it was recorded with the county records in PENN. on how she was left very very wealthy from here Grandfather who was 1st governor of 1 year for PENN.. She went down to the county records when her first born son was born Cyrus Harvey and put all her money and farm etc. in his name, all her estate, In Cyrus's fathers name a Harvey. Barbara Harvey also found all these records when she went to PENN. Cyrus Harvey set up all the first banking systems in America, he was the pillar of success and society friends with al the governors etc, and lived in the biggest mansion which was a landmark. I am not sure why you believe that man who wrote that one page ?

Hi, Rick. In researching my African American TALIAFERROS I am, of course, learning about the TALIAFERROS that were their slave owners here in GA. I have traced that line of TALIAFERROS back to SC and the Edward Mobley family, and I'm stuck there. No one sees to have any info on Edward MOBLEY TALIAFERRO (born in GA) or his father Richard (Born in SC), or his mother Susan MOBLEY. Stephen GREEN DORSEY (slave owner) was born in GA. I believe that line has Maryland roots, but I haven't gotten that far back yet; I'm stuck on, and obsessed with the TALIAFERROS. I look forward to participating in this group. Regards, Sandra. P.S. Wow, you're researching a lot of surnames!!!! :)
