eircomnet Wow! I am delighted to have made up for 25 years! I am not surprised you had problems. I have found relatives under K'nearns, Keniorns, ad almost every combination of spelling known to man, but they fo not seem to have moved within Ireland much which made it easier, well, somewhat easier.

The John to whom I referred as having no dates for him was John Kinirons, and I have half your email, and fair swop mine is amkweb at and the second part is the first word in this comment, with a dot between the m and the n

I will take what you sent and see what I have that I can send apart from the pdf. Few photos exist or at least for your side of the family I will have to get in touch with them and ask. They alll lived a long time despite poor circumstances - Thomas, Margarets brother seemed to have some means, and we understand that our Richard is buried with Thomas (and their childred or some of them) possibly as the result of a plea from his poverty stricken brother or cousin, whichever Richard was (this being what we call Richard 1, as opposed to Richard 2 or Dunkerrin/Ballydonagh Richard whose relationship with us we are unsure of. Interestingly, they both married Tierney ladies. HAve I confused you?   Your comment on not being able to get anytthing on Kinirons for 25 years rings true - we only made progress when we found rootsireland, and the K'nearns query on ANcestry.com yielded some info on Richard 2's descendants, and yes they were long-lived too. My Dad is 94 (Richard 1 lineage). Google the Irish Census 1901 and 1911 and you will find Kinirons (free website and you can view the original returns as pdfs - no charge - the genealogical world thought they were mad to do it but I get so ticked off with (mostly) US websites where there are hidden charges for everything!

Well Elizabeth you have hit paydirt! We have (My husband and me) spent the last year researching our families, including mine - Kinirons, and if I can find a way of uploading a pdf to this, or you send me an email address for you, I can give you the family chart - up to abot 1900, not later because there are sensitivities around inclusion in two people, but we can work around that if need be. The good news is the Kinirons family came from Tipperary, centering around Nenagh and Roscrea, and two of the original ancestors are buried in Roscrea, including your Margaret's brother, Thomas. Richard is buried with him, and we think he is a brother or cousin, and I am descended from this Richard. There is a second Richard, how he ties in we do not know but we have made out most of his descendants also, and figure him to be a cousin. Your branch lived around Roscrea, mine around Nenagh and the third, the second Richard's was around Dunkerrin.

Elizabeth we know little about Margaret, and even less about whether she had other brothers and sisters apart from Thomas, so any information you have there would be appreciated.

Your chart would go something like:John Kinirons married Biddy Carroll (1794-1866) (no dates on John).
Their children:Thomas (?-1876)married Winifred Maher (1820-72)
Margaret (181901882)married John Maher (1817-70) (no idea if the Mahers were related themselves)
Their children: Elizabeth (1859-1909), Mary Ann (1852-1901) Jerry (1849-?), Stephen (1846-1918), John (1845-?). We have no further information on who their children were except Mary Ann married Michael Farrell. I will check where I got most of the material I found from - www.rootsireland.ie - and see if I have birth places for the five, but some of this was supplied by an American relative so there would not be more, and she was thorough and went to the LDS film files.
