Eleanor, I noticed on a different site, (Geni /MyHeritage) that you have several of my Ruede relatives listed and also my uncle, Michael Bird and his family. Are you related? I have a lot of information available for the Ruede family. Let my know if you want to see any of it. Jim Cartwright
My father Harry Yonker was born in Antwerp, 1893-1960.All I know of him is the above and fathers name, Dow, mothers name Elizabeth. He came to Australia. I don't know when. He met and married my mother in 1934. They had 9 children. Sometime after when he arrived back to Australia after the 1st world war, he changed the name Yonker to Young.
I was 16 when he passed away and not even having a thought about family history never asked those vital questions we need to get started.
