I am trying to figure out how I am related to the Vannoys.  I have a FTDNA match to E. Harold Vannoy as does my 1st cousin 2X removed.    Our common ancestor is James C Baumann (born 1848, root goes back to Switzerland) and Matilda (born 1852 LA).  The suggested relationship is 4th cousin - remote.  I have known DNA matches to two other cousins but they don't show up as matches to Vannoy.  I didn't see a Vannoy match to any of us on gedmatch.com.

Sorry, but I have not made any new discoveries for Elijah Vannoy. I have been working mostly on some of the more obscure Vannoys west of the Mississippi River. Had about 3 1/2 years of not doing much research when my husband had cancer. He passed away in June 2007 and I moved back "home" to North Platte, NE. .... Ruby
