What surnames are you interested in researching?

Williamson - Dunfirmline married a Farquhar of clan Farquharson. In every generation one son must have the name William Farquhar Williamson, his name and information is registered in Scotland - my uncle was the last-died last year. My cousin, who's dad passed kept her name Williamson - My grandson has Williamson as his middle name. Couldn't just let it die out, ya know !

GG granmother from Ireland - gg father William Farquhar Williamson came to Penna around 1800 from Edinborough, lived in Dunfirmline, Scotland - We are tied to the Clan Farquharson "The Fighting Farquharson"

I am a member of Scotland People as a source of reference but seem to have lost family around 1800-when immigrated to usa- philadelphia loom maker

For what reason did you start genealogy research?

since childhood have always loved Scottish music but thought we were English-then in speaking to older family members found we are Scot & Irish and have found my soul. Now retired I want to come to Scotland-Edin do research and travel around. See Braemore Castle etc
