Sorry I took nearly 3 years to reply. That's how long it's been since I visited thus site.

No I don't think they are the same Gordons. My Great Grandfather was born in N.C. in 1802.

Dennis, I've found you by way of  your (old?) Familytreemaker-Genealogy site in which is a photo of Bertha Agnes Perkins Edwards.  One of her husbands, John Henry Bartlett, could be my 1st cousin (once removed).  He's only recently discovered, after some 40 years of casual family research! John was orphaned in AR at age 4. His mother, Sarah, remarried to John Boose Wood and they are found on the 1910 Census in Tulsa, OK.  The 1920 Tulsa Census reflects a "Glen H. Bartlett", that I think is a transcription error... and believe it's John H. Bartlett.  By 1927 he's married to Bertha (your records)  in KS City, KS.  In 1928 they had a child, Margaret Jean Bartlett.  I'm very anxious to be in touch with this Margaret, should she be still living!  Any exchange of information about the forgoing is welcomed and very desired!   Jerry Finlayson  canoe421@verizon.net

Dennis,

I have Kovac, Pajnic, and Osmak in my maternal ancestry. I have recently discovered the Pajnic link, thus all my research has been through the Kovac/Osmak side. Perhaps we could exchange information at some point.

Not that I know of. I have no family from that area. Perhaps if we go back far enough then we might.

Dennis,
I don't know of any connection. I think my Gordons were already over here in the early 1800's. I am pretty sure my GG Grandfather, Isaiah Gordon was born in North Carolina in 1802.

Dennis: I'd be happy to share what I have with you. I'll work on getting you my line by this weekend and we'll see if there are any joint ancestry there.
