I noticed that you listed McGuigan as a family you are researching. We have a lare collection of McGuigan information in our family tree. If you think there may be a connection, our McGuigans arrived in PA in late 1840's, settled in Dubuque County, IA by 1850's. Later moved to Union County, Dakota Territory in 1870's and from there to Lyman and Lawrence Counties in South Dakota in early 1900's.
My grandmother, Sadie Casavan, married Edgard Miller Brandeis and had two sons: Louis Miller Brandeis and Arthur Miller Brandeis. I suspect she dropped some letters from her maiden name or changed it like the Cassavaugh's have done over the years. Was wondering the names of your Casavant's. There is a link to some Casavant's on fb. Any information would be welcomed. Thanks, Fanita Miller Brandeis.
PS My next door neighbor is a Quinn and I have some informattion on their family tree.
