My Riemer's are my mother's maternal line. After they immigrated from Germany they settled in the Lakeview neighborhood of  Chicago where Louis Riemer was in the brick business. Did your Reams ever live in Chicago?

My Dickey family springs from Patrick, Owen, Henry, and Julia. They lived mostly in the South. Alabama is where my great grandmother Julia Dickey was born. Let me know if you think we have a connection.

Hi Danny,

Nice to hear from you.  I have the information about my dad but he has other family living there in Terre Haute.  I have half-brother's and half-sisters of whom I know almost nothing.  For the last few years, I've been thinking of trying to get down there (I'm in mid Michigan) to interview those family members and collect their information before it's too late, but something always comes up.  I do appreciate your offer very much.

I lived in Terre Haute myself for about a year back when my dad was given only a year to live.  In that time period, I was able to get to know him pretty well but concentrated all of my attention on him and little on my half-siblings.  There are a large number of Taylors in the area but actually, most are NOT related to my Taylor family, which I find sort of strange.  There are so many Taylors that it's sometimes hard to sort them all out.

Thanks so much for your interest.

Pat

Concerning a Peter Ream...I have no information on Peter other than his parents who were Abraham Ream and Elizabeth Neidig.  Abraham was born 24 Aug. 1749 in Reamstown, PA. He died Jul 1817 in Centre Co, PA.  Elizabaeth was born abt. 1750 and died before 1781.  I don't know if this is the same Peter Ream you are looking for.  I do have a list of Peter's siblings, but no dates.  There is a wonderful website: www.gremmert.com  which has a lot of Ream genealogy.  You probably will find what you need there.

There is also a Mrs Henry William English looking for his info. Dated Sept. 1930

Helen W. Lynn is another person.

Mrs. J.A.Hanna from Mich./ Mrs J.H. Hanna....might be same person

John Ream Kirk from Mankota (sp?) Kansas

Ok.....on a letter written it has Hattie Ream Charles...so the other might have been a typo.

John Frederick Ream's wife was named Margaret.

One letter is asking questions about David Ream, brother of Andrew Ream. And Tobias Ream father of Henry Ream. It was written by Helen W. Lynn (Mrs.A.D.Lynn)
