Hi, Carolyn!

Sent you a note via Ancestry.com, but will try here as well.

Annie Primrose McMillan died May 10, 1940 at the Palmer House Hotel in Toronto.  She is buried with her parents and brother, John, in Oakwoods Cemetery, Chicago.  Her husband, my grand uncle, Cellmont Barkland, is not buried with her.

I also have a copy of Annie's birth record from Scotland on her Ancestry.com page.

I have a friend from The Lord Selkirk Association, Stan Audette, who is a descendent of John Flett and Isabella Murray.  I have Murray connections, too.  Mary Matheson married Francis Murray.  Mary was my great grandfather's sister.  I love genealogy and history, too.

Same to you, Carolyn.  Are you a descendent of the Lord Selkirk Settlers?

Carolyn,

I received your query about the Red River bicentennial calendar.  It is available for $15.  Please contact Betty Gill at ejgill@mymts.net.  I don't want to post her phone number on this site.

Hi,
Yes, I've seen the Livingston and other gravestone pictures in a few places, findagrave, rootsweb, iowajones.org, etc.
I thought it must have been the article about the church where I saw the list of names but I couldn't find it again.

Great to have you on board the Douglas Genealogy group.

I look forward to hearing about your Douglas ancestors, and wonder if there is anything we can do to help? Have you had a look at the Douglas Archives? Is your line included?

Have a great Hogmanay, andf I hope 2010 treats you well.

Yours aye,

William

Lisa here is a link to Collections Canada- the census is not indexed so you really have to know where the family was or you could be there for years. Many of the documents are really hard to read.
