"Actually the Cranberry township near Pittsburgh is in Butler county...founded in 1804. Cranberry township in Venango county was incorp. in 1830. So it looks like the Butler county one is older."

"Cranberry is basically across the river from me. Yes I did know him. A true family man. Sad when people have to do these things. They have now found out the shooter killed his wife and himself. Plus he had set it up so he could shoot whom ever came…"

So it looks like the Butler county one is older.
