In your request, be sure to mention the RM3 text based report as that is almost ideal. To meet the web page requirements, there would also need to be an option to exclude all facts except, Birth, Marriage, Death and Burial. (This was not in the RM3…
As I said:
"The RM4 Custom Report writer does not have the features to create an FGS report since it can't access the spouses or their facts, or the children or the children's sex, facts or spouses."
This precludes creating an…
I visited the website and they have specific requirements for input - either use the online form, or copy the form to an e-mail and enter the data there or use the txt version of the Legacy created FGS.
I tried to replicate the Legacy txt file from…
Val,
Custom reports in RM4 are internal to the database and are not re-usable between databases. (In RM3 they were external and could be reused between databases, but since the were based on an internal record ID to access people, they were not…
I am in Ontario, Canada.
I have dounloaded the patch, 180-207.exe. (There is no 179-207 patch.)
When I try to install the patch, I get the following message "Old File not found. However, a file of the same name was found. No update done since…
Russ,
I still have 10.0.0.179. There is no update for this. When I do Check for Update, FTM2010 says I have the latest. When I try to run the update, I won't apply the update. Any suggestions?
Bernard,
I'm not familiar with this source, but one source type that comes to mind is Grave Markers (online images). This documents on the website. You can include the various source cemetery in the item of Interest. Of note is that this source…
Bernard Kerr, where is the being restored to? If it is going to na area that Vista or Win7 considered protected, it will create a fuss. Make sure you are pointing to somewhere like Documents or My Documents on the C drive rather than under the…
Michael, the links are not broken, the photos, images, and files are just not copied to the flash drive. When you sync back to the desktop, the links to the phots, images and files will be restored because that is where the files are located.
If…
Bernard, Elizabeth Mills did not include a model for this particular type of source. (She indicated in one message forum that to include everything it would have taken four volumes like Evidence Explained, and even then she may not be able to find…
Brenda, try this. In the FGS setup, uncheck Start notes on a new page. Click the Sources button, and click Footnotes printed at the bottom of the page, and click OK. Then click Generate Report. If you want, you can click on the Indexes button, and…
Brenda, If when you generate a GEDCOM, you check to option to exclude "Extra details (RM specific)", the GEDCOM can be taken back into RM3. Be sure to check that all facts are included in the GEDCOM in Lists, Fact Type list, and that…
Michael, there is no specific report for Lineage Societies. Are you looking for an ancestor report or a decendant report? Are you looking for a narrative type report, or a "chart" type report? Have you looked at the Lists, such as…
Brenda, unfortunately, there is no option to put all the data and sources onto a single page. Data, sources, person index and place index are all placed on separate pages.

Hi Bill - I contacted you awhile back regarding the Pufahl and Sack connections and you were so kind to respond. I have made some inroads into these families but in genealogy, our work is never done! Found out that there was a large community of Germans that had immigrated to Canada and many never left. My great great uncle Carl Sack and his wife Wilhelmine Pufahl were just two that stayed, and also, most of their children. I am still working on details regarding their children.
