A friend gave me a copy of FTM for DOS, which I loaded onto a PC that I built. I became engrossed with genealogy and have been ever since. When my mother-in-law found out about my interest, she shared their family history research and before she passed away turned over the reins of family historian to me.

Hi Bill - I contacted you awhile back regarding the Pufahl and Sack connections and you were so kind to respond. I have made some inroads into these families but in genealogy, our work is never done! Found out that there was a large community of Germans that had immigrated to Canada and many never left. My great great uncle Carl Sack and his wife Wilhelmine Pufahl were just two that stayed, and also, most of their children. I am still working on details regarding their children.
