My mother-in-law first saw your information on the Trost family and the Darling Downs and wondered if you may have come across my family (Schultz) in your research who also settled on the Downs. Now I see you have added Schultz to the families you are looking at.

At the moment I am in contact with a family in Germany who are assisting me to find information at that end as very little about my Schultz and Krekow families was passed down. We have theorised that losing their baby on the voyage and apparently having had two or more children die in Germany that it was all too traumatic and Germany was never spoken of again. So sad for those of us, as descendants, who want to know more of their story.

It would be extraordinary if the Schultzs you are looking for are my Schultzs. However, there are quite a few unrelated ones in the Downs Region. I do have some information from one "Schultz" family. I see that Carl August Schultz married Marie Elizabeth Trost on 8/3/1899 so this may be the family you are seeking. If so, I can arange to copy it and send it to you.
