What I don't like about these titles is that they are false! When you look up these sites they lead you to another page that is like a check out and tells you that it cost a certain amount of $ and ask for your credit card.!
If these sites need money to keep thier sites aboard then they should state it . If it is not free then you should not have that title next to your site because that is false advertisement!

If you don't find her in 1882 Castle Garden, consider doing a microfilm search because the database will have interpretation and handwriting transcription errors. Also, consider nearby ports such as Boston. From the east coast ports the trains took immigrants westward with ease.

Remember that they could apply for naturalization more than over over their lifetime. Many applied and never finished the process.

An example is Marcella Gonelligan, b. 1869 in IRE, immigrates 1882, who dies in NYC.

Still seeing a number of Gonelligan names in Ancestry's Tree and the 1920 census. Can you post the specifics in our Serious Queries group?

Hi Barbara Bosy!

We had some fun with your very common ancestral research dilemma—inability to find what you seek. In order to reach your objective of finding her origins across the water, you’ll need to first build the foundation in US records.

Yes, we found your target ancestor in another record that sheds more light on her, her origins & her family member’s details! However, there is much more to seek & probably find!

This is our mission & vision: Since 1979, Lynell & I, Karl-Michael Sala, have found thousands of data, documents & images for thousands of ancestral family members for hundreds of clients! We were the very first two persons selected for the short-lived—but highly successful—Paid Expert Ancestry Research Line! Why? Because we usually found in just a few minutes data, documents & images that subscribers had been trying to find for the last 3 decades!

There is no charge for our initial research consultation. It is what we often do for others trying to find their European origins. Doing an initial free search (& usually a find) is how we share our talents with others.

We wish we could do everyone’s research for free, but this is just not economically feasible. So, if others cannot find their ancestors in online databases & image-bases—but know they are there (somewhere)—please call to discuss your case, but also email us full details.

As a service & a marketing test, we have located your target ancestor in the 1910 Census! It shows that Marcello Harren [sic; meaning that this is an obvious error, but it shows how it was mis-indexed] was allegedly born in England; her parents were reportedly born in Scotland.

Her immigration year matched the 1920 entry: 1882. Her daughter, Winifred--who was 26 in the 1920 Census--was indeed 10 years younger, age 16, in the 1910 household.

Daughter Winifred's & her siblings' (Marcella & Elizabeth) parents, i.e., the reportedly widowed mother Marcella--mother of 9; only 4 of whom were living in 1910--& her husband, were reportedly born in England.

There is more research to be done; however, there are no guarantees. That said, we have a 99% success ratio in locating new data, documents & images our clients did not have! If you like what you see & would like to get more, we'd like to now personally & professionally serve you by providing the actual DIGITAL data, documents & images of this image & more.

If you or any others would like cost-effective USA, Immigration or European research service, that will save you effort, time & money, please call & email me--a proven, 3-decade international ancestral genealogist.

If you'd like to see a copy of a stunning report for a client, that includes DIGITAL images of census, immigration (NY Passenger List), emigration (Hamburg Passenger List), & actual parish register entries from Tirschtiegel, Posen, Preussen (now Trzciel, Poznan, Poland) that are translated? That can be viewed by clicking on a link found on my GW Group: The German Genealogist. Yes, I can do much more than German. Call & email me all details on one target ancestor, spouse, children, parents, places of residence, i.e., whatever is known on that target ancestor:
