At 9:35am on August 30, 2009, Eve Cruse said…: I am interested in Stimpsons from Lincoln, UK although this is just a hunch of mine. My Stimpsons were from London and I would like to find birth of my gg-grandfather Stephen Stimpson born approx 1823 who alternately states his birthplace on census as Yarmouth, Norfolk but I have found no trace. His father was Edward. Also Stephen's very likely siblings were christened at St. Clement Danes, London where Stephen also stated on an early census that he was born. The family naming similarites leads me to Stimpsons in Lincoln. Think I will also post this info in a surname group here.....
