Do the cross she is vearing around her neck tell what church she belong to?
What do the photograf name tell?
Is it something in the photograf name that tells where the photo was taken ?

The photographers bio and the year the Dakotas became a state tell us that the photo should be from 1879-1889.
I am leaning towards 1879-1885. Is the back of the photo matte or glossy? That is quite a cross, I don't know if ever saw one tat big from that period.
