My Mother lived to 63. She worked to support us, long hours, because of the lack of jobs for women in that time, for little pay. A Theatre- selling tickets, a grocery store- etc. She moved to Albany Ga in 1948 to work in a thread mill, which paid more, and I was sent to a Methodist Boarding School-for my own safety while she worked... for the next 7 years at 11 years old. I graduated there-Vashti School, Thomasville Ga
