HI, I have found that the original name of the family was: the father: Peder Johanessen Aarstue; mother: Berthe Hansdatter. The would have married around the middle 1600's or early 1700's in Norway somewhere around Luster, Norway. The family emmigrated to the States in the early 1800's, landing in New York I think.
