    George, what a conincidence. I have ancestors and other relatives from Peoria Co, as well as Tazewell and Woodford.
    My Holmes line included Paler, Benjamin Franklin, Alexander Franklin, Dudley Seldon Gregory, Herman Van Steenburgh, Helen Elizabeth (Nella), and several other Holmes children who died young.
    On the other hand, my brother Marold Holmes married a Simmons in Iowa. Some of them had lived in Illinois at one time in La Salle Co.
