Thank you so much for the translation. I understand a little about the history of Duderstadt and can look for her maiden name records.
  • Rhonda Lucich

Hi Madehlinne! I must have done something wrong because I thought I friended you right away, the day after I first met you in chat. You do show up in my friends list... am I not showing up in yours? In any case, thanks so much for taking the time to search for my Lucich family. Just yesterday, I received some of the birth-marriage-death records I had requested through the LA state archives and feel like a treasure chest arrived at the door. The records match those you sent, so I feel confident I have the right people for my tree. With these ancestors in place, the dominoes start falling, and I'll spend days just getting them entered into my database. Love it!!

I've ordered some obituaries from the New Orleans library but haven't received all of them yet. I know that one will arrive in German. When it does, do you have any suggestions about where I might go to get it translated?

I've popped back into the chatroom a couple of times and continue to find lovely people there. I'll definitely be back again. Hope to catch you there!

    Cheers!
    Rhonda

I also married into the Bulkely family, My Mother -n-law was a Bulklely. Her father was Frederick Bulkelly Married Lucretia Burgess and had 13 children: Pearl May ,Lizzie May, Frank M, Hazel M, Morris E, Anna, Nathan Waldon, Hilen Robert, Rosey Violet, Albert D.,Lyman, Clyde and (Mother-n-law) Carrie Marie. Frederick's father was Morris L. and mother was Rachel Houseworth. This much I can prove by census and death and marriage certificates. But this point on I am lost in the maze of some of the boys changing the spelling of their last names to Buckley and Girls marring into the Buckley Family.. This famlly is very unusual as some of the took other wives of their brothers( at least in my search ).. Thank you for what ever you could find. What is the Bulkley book you are talking about? txs...

Hi Madehlinne! Thank you so much for the information on the Creviers. I haven't had time to look through it all yet, as I am out of town on business and have been in meetings all day. I can't wait to study it. I am almost obsessed with my genealogy, sad to say.
Thanks again. I'll be in touch!

    Hello Madehlinne,
Thank you so much for finding the marriage record of my father Thomas Lazarus' first 1922 marriage to Edna McGee at Mecklenburg Cty, NC. No other info was given except her name, bd 1899 and her age 23. Her death year may be 1988. What web site would you recommend to find their divorce record? They all charge a lot. I'd like to learn if I had any half siblings. Thanks, Amy Jo Wilson

Hi! I may be going to Quebec in April, and if so, I will try to get to Trois Rivieres, among other places... I'll let you know what I find out! Thanks again for all the info.

Madehlinne, I am sorry that I was not able to clear up some information. I am the daughter-n-law of Carrie M. Bulkley. So I really have everything on her. My questions are where do you come into the family? I do have a bit of confusion on Carrie's father , Frederick L Bulkley. I have a copy of his and Lucretia Burgess marriage record for the Town of Wayne, NY, which states that Frederick's mother was Nancy Houseworth. Now every other paperwork I have from Steuben County, NY states a Rachael Houseworth as his mother. I have been able to find very limited information on either lady. just a few questions about a very confusing family, with Some of Fred's sons changing the spelling of their last names. Thank you so much for what ever you help clear up or suggest sites to look into... Candy Rogers

    Thanks Maddie.
I didn't even know there were "Friends" on Genealogy Wise.  I've got a lot on Facebook, and about 80% are extended family on three continents.
