    I also have Hester Coutant & Caleb Russel on my tree, and go back about 3 generations from Hester. I have a copy of an old hand-written Coutant tree from the New Rochelle Huguenots that was made in about 1860, so I am trying to trace my husband's line back to tie into that tree. I think I am only missing 1-2 generations to connect, and then the tree will go back to Jean Coutant in the late 1600s.
