Hi, thanks for posting. I've heard from only a few since joining this group a couple of years ago. Share only Hill, Page and warren of the list you posted though - in addition to the royalty line. I have 5 connections (that I've found so far) to the "Dark Ages" nobility. The "5" is arrived at by the number of "Gateway ancestors" - those starting with a Colonial immigrant ancestor. Most of my ancestry is from New England Colonial "Great Migration" immigrants, all from England and a few a little later from Scotland. Another 2 lines (great, great grandparents) came from England in the early and mid-1800s.  Any links to POland, Sweden, Denmark, France, Italy, etc. come from those Royal lines!  VERY distant!  But will be fun to have on a 3x5 card when travelling to any of those sometime. Would probably get a very odd look though!

Of the names you're currently interested in, Allen is the only one I have, and that line descends from Samuel Allen, who d in Braintree, Mass., in 1669. His son James m Eliz. Partridge in 1662. She d in Martha's Vineyard in 1722.  Ha - I'd forgotten I had a link to the Vineyard!  (Will have to ask if ever there again if the Allens are still around!!)

Nice talking to you. Maybe we have some common ancestry research results we can share.
