Heather, saw your post that mentioned a Tow. I am out of a Tow/Towe line that came out of NC and settled in Georgia. I am also the moderator of a Tow/Towe/Tower group on FamiltyTreeDNA.com that is trying to match through DNA to determine if the various Tow/Towe lines that seem to have sprang out of NC have any sort of relationship.

And forgot...I also have a tie in with the Pabst surname...my line came into the colonies in 1732 from current-day Germany. The surname, Pabst, went through various spelling from Pabst, Bobst, Pobst and finally Pope around the mid 1800s. Jennings Bland Pope of Texas was instrumental in having this line searched in the 1970s and published a book on the line.

I now my Reed's were in Alabama in the 1880's, before that I am not sure.
My great grandfather is William Carroll Reed born abt. 1852 where he was
    born is the question.

I don't know much about my Camp line or Tucker line. Cassie Tucker Millsaps was the wife of Jonathan Millsaps...my g.g.g. grandparents...though I'm not 100% sure that Cassie was my g.g. grandmother's mother. Her age in one of the censuses puts her kinda young to have had the older children and still kinda young in my opinion to have my g.g. grandmother. I lucked up and found a copy of the Pabst/Pobst/Bobst/Pope book by Jennings Bland Pope by searching on-line and it was at a rare and used book store in Vermont.

No problem. Just that I have a picture of the tartan should you wish to use it as a logo, and if you do I will put it somewhere you can access it.
  • Ron Ferguson

    Hi Heather,

At present you do not have a logo for the Ferguson Group. What I was saying is that if you wish to use it I have a picture of the Ferguson tartan, and if you do then let me know and I will put it somewhere for you to get it and use.

Você não é apenas uma amiga
Mas um pedaço do meu coração
    Indispensável a minha vida.

    Amigos nunca dizem adeus,
