Robert Walker was not actually my ancestor but he was a business partner of my ggg grandfather, Daniel Anderson, in Petersburg. The other partner was Archibald Gracie of New York, builder of the Gracie Mansion, now home to NYC mayors. So Walker is really a collateral line I'm investigating to try to get more information on my Anderson ancestor.

    Hi all,
I am searching for information on an Allan Campbell b. @ 1685 and emmigrated to Virginia in 1721. He was to have come from Loch Carron in the northwest Highlands near the island of Skye. And he was to have left a large estate located in the Parrish of Ardchattan which included territory on the mainland of Argyshire. Why he left Scotland is not known as he left a large estate and his wife, four sons and two daughters. I have found no trace of him and am beginning to think this connection is wrong. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

  • Sally Campbell Repass

Is WILLIAMS her maiden name? I looked on Ancestry.Com, but nothing showed up with the name you listed.

My maternal grandmother was also a Williams. I am doing that family history. I saw where some of them were in Richmond, VA, after coming over from London, England. I do have a CATHERINE WILLIAMS b. abt 1606, in London, England, listed in my history. I guess that was a common name.
