    Karl JUNG, 82, of 1211 Highland Avenue, died at 7 p.m. Thursday in the Pillars
    Nursing Home. He was born September 8, 1891, in Springfield, the son of Ludwig
    and Elizabeth (SAUTER) JUNG and has resided here all his life. He was employed
    as a machinist for the James Leffel Company for a number of years, retiring in
    1946. Mr. JUNG was a member of the St. Bernard Catholic Church and the Holy
    Name Society of the parish. He served in Frances with the U.S. Army during
    World War I. Survivors include four brothers, Joseph, Louis, Henry and Albert;
    one sister, Mrs. Ann SHEPARD, all of Springfield, and a number of nieces and
    nephews. A sister, Mary O'CONNOR, preceded him in death. His body was taken to
    the Conroy Funeral Home where friends may call from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m.
    Sunday. Visitation services there at 8 p.m. Sunday. A Funeral Mass will be sung
    at 9 a.m. Monday in the St. Bernard Catholic Church. Burial will be in the St.
    Bernard Cemetery.

      Mrs. Mary O'CONNOR, 32, of 4369 Columbus av., died at 4:35 a.m. Tuesday at the
      district tuberculosis hospital. She was born and reared in Springfield, where
      she had lived all her life. She was a member of the St. Bernard Church. She
      leaves her husband, Thomas O'CONNOR; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ludwig JUNG of
      this city; one sister, Mrs. R. G. SHEPHERD of Springfield and five brothers,
      Joseph, Charles, Lewis, Henry and Albert all of this city. Funeral services
      will be held at the St. Bernard Church at 8:30 a.m. Thursday. Burial will be
      made in St. Bernard cemetery.

        Mrs. Anne J. SHEPARD, 82, of 458 E. Cecil st., died at 3 a.m. Wednesday in her
        home. She was born in Springfield on May 8, 1896, the daughter of Ludwig and
        Elizabeth SAUTER JUNG. She had lived in Springfield her entire life. Mrs.
        Shepard was a member of St. Raphael's Roman Catholic Church and the Altar
        Rosary Sodality there. She also was a member of the St. Raphael Branch of the
        Catholic Ladies of Columbia. Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Lacon (Doris)
        DODSWORTH of Dayton, four sons, Richard of Springfield, Raymond of Dayton,
        Thomas and Robert both of Sacramento Calif., three brothers, Louis, Joseph and
        Albert JUNG, all of Springfield, 23 grandchildren, eight great grandchildren,
        and a number of nieces and nephews. Her husband. Dr. Raymond SHEPARD, died June
        17, 1975. Friends may call at the Conroy Funeral Home from 2 to 5 p.m. and from
        7 to 9 p.m. Friday. A visitation will be held at 8 p.m. Friday in the funeral
        home. Funeral Mass will be sung at the church at 10 a.m. Saturday. Burial will
        be in St. Bernard Cemetery.
