My grandfather, Niels Anton Hansen (1877-1967) was born in Nebel, Rarup, Vejle County, Denmark and died in Seattle. My grandmother, Karen Marie Olesen (1877-1966) was born in Havrbjerg, Nebsager, Vejle County, Denmark and died in Seattle. 3 of my grandfather's siblings immigrated to the US before he did. All ended up in Washingon State.

Jilaine, try this website

http://www.secstate.wa.gov/archives/archives_puget.aspx#genealogical

The Puget Sound Regional Branch has tons of information (including probate info) and friendly people. The information isn't online, but maybe they can help you.

Thanks, Linda for the website. Between you and my Aunt Ila, I was able to narrow down his death date and the archives had him listed. Received his death certificate in the mail today. Now, how about probate records? Would contacting the Court directly be my best bet?

Hi Jilaine, Washington State has a wonderful digital archive now at http://www.digitalarchives.wa.gov/default.aspx. You might be able to trace your great-great uncle through that. They do have some land records as well as death records.

I am looking for my great-great uncle. He was one of the lucky Alaskan gold miners and retired to Seattle in the early 1900's. He owned several apartment building, which he later sold to the Nursing college. I can only track to the 1930's census and after that, is there any way of checking real estate sales to see when or if he sold those buildings of which I have the addresses for, and perhaps the death records also. His life after 1930 is so confusing, I'm told so many different stories that I would like to start collecting facts on him. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi, I live in King County. I don't have any Washington Genealogy, but I figured I would start seeing what resources I have around me to offer. I know a few of the cemeteries around the area, and if you know specifically where you are looking, let me know and I will see what I can find. Like I said, I don't know much of the resources since I live here, but don't research about the area. (Also I'm going to school, so I sometimes get really busy:) Let me know if I can help.
