Hello Paula,

Thank you for checking in the directory for me.  I think he died after 1940, because he was mentioned in one of his sister's obituaries.

I looked on Ancestry.  He died in 1940.  I can look up in the directory to see when he last appeared.  There is family tree on Ancestry with additional information.

Looking for the death of Reuben Martin b. 1862.  I found him in the 1930 Census of Philadelphia.  Was wondering if by chance anyone would have Phila. directories to be able to search when the last year he appears.

Bob,  they have a business listing.  Have you tried to call them and see if they are available?  I know that place was in terrible condition when I used to go to Laurel Hill, don't know about lately.

Has anyone ever been to Mt Vernon Cemetery in Philadelphia?
I understand that the don't allow people in it anymore.
I was hoping to get a photo request filled through FAG but haven't been able because of this.

Hi,

Would it be possible to get a copy of those obits for John A. Kinch and Elbert R. Kinch???  I will be looking up the cemeteries to see what I can find.  Thanks so much for the info.

Sincerely,

Mary Kinch

Found a brief obit for Elbert, looks like he belonged to a couple of lodges, which was common in those days. His residence was listed as 1328 Morris Street.

I'm guessing Abijah was alive when the information for the directory was taken.
