My Gr Gr Gr Grandfather (I believe) was Edward Moran born in Ireland, 1830. He died in PA in 1890. He was married to Catherine ?, born in Ireland. That is all I have aside from descendants.

Comment by Di Tarhalla on July 23, 2009 at 7:50am: Thank you for posting. I wish I could get my Moren's back that far. I am stuck in Hemstead Co. AR. The VA came from his sons 18880 census when they started collecting where the parents were born. That information is sometimes a hit or miss.

Comment by Linda Grinolds on July 23, 2009 at 3:29am: My gg-parents were Thomas Moran born in Mohill, Co. Leitrim, Ireland & Mary Ann Kelly born in the same province. Their daughter was Elizabeth Moran born 28 March 1846 in Mohill. They came to the USA mid 1800s & settled in Wisconsin. Elizabeth met & married John Joseph Keeley about 1860 in Janesville, Rock Co, Wisconsin. After his death she married Micheal Dunlevy. After his death she married Charles Dolan. They founded the town of Hazen, Mercer Co, North Dakota. They lived in Hazen until their deaths. I have more details if needed.

Comment by Di Tarhalla on July 18, 2009 at 9:50pm: Samuel Moren c1788 with wife Elizabeth came out of VA and settled in Hempstead Co., Arkansas. This is my oldest Moren. He died in 09 Feb 1845 in Hempstead Co., Arkansas
