We actually got a lot of our information from a cousin of my husand who lives in London, Ont. Later we went to Chatham, Ontario and Quebec City & Charlesbourg, Quebec and confirmed her findings. The Catholic churches are so good at keeping their records that it was easy to find a lot of information, also the communities where they lived were small so information was readily available there too. I haven't spent as much time on the Jacques family because I'm in the middle of writting about one of my own lines. On the FamilySearch beta site, the record books from the church in Charlebourg are on line in French. I found Louis Jacques death record which stated that he was buried under the alter in the Chapel of the People, however, I haven't yet figured out yet which of the churches (small, then larger, then largest) it means. It does not mean the current church. We spoke with the church historian who said that one person was buried there, but it was not Louis. We didn't have time to try to figure out where he is buried, if he is buried that at all. Another mystery.
