Searching for information on Gilbert Van Cooper, born in New Jersey around 1905
In the late 1920's he married Sarah Jane Thomas. The couple moved to St.Louis and I have located them in the 1930 census listing.
I believe I may have found him through the SS death index, but I want to confirm that I have the correct person. If it is the correct person, he had four siblings, three sisters and a brother. The were living in Ohio in 1920.
Any of the Coopers out there have a Gilbert Van in their tree?

Norman Cooper was my maternal grandfather - although I barely know anything about him. He died october 1970, 2 months before I was born. He was living in Port Talbot, South Wales at the time of his death. He had been married to Marjorie Timms and they had 4 children, the youngest of which (marilyn) was my mother. I know he had quite a few siblings - but I have never been told of any real detail. Thought I'd try looking into it - thanks.

My Cooper family go's back to my 4th great grand father John cooper. he was born abt 1790 in New Jersey. I have been told I am related to James Fennimore Cooper. I would like to prove a actually family connection. At this point I don't know who John's parents were. John Married Ann Ewing Feb 20 1813 and in abt 1815 they mover to Butler, Ohio. I believe This family was part of the Quaker group in Burlington, New Jersey, and may have moved to Ohio with part of this group.

Am looking for info on the James Davis Cooper (1823-1904) line. His father was George (b. 1801) and mother Emily (b. 1810).

Family of artists from the Highgate neighbourhood.

One of my biggest brick walls is my adoptive dad's ancestor, Charles H. Cooper, b. abt 1800 in South Carolina. I know a lot about the family of his wife, Celia Selah SoRelle, but almost nothing about Charles. There should be information about him out there, but I can't find it. He died abt 1862 in Harrison County, Texas. Any suggestions or connections?
