I am looking for any Burns who came out of Canada and ended up in Michigan.

Hello Robert:
My BURNS line so far goes back to William BURNS, born either Scotland or Co. Antrim abt. 1805 > Samuel BURNS, born abt. 1827 in N. Ireland > David BURNS, born 17 Aug 1853, Glasgow > William BURNS b. 20 Jan 1898 Larne, Co. Antrim. David married in Co. Antrim, had 5 children and the family emigrated to Lanark Co. Ontario where his wife, Sarah died in 1908. She is buried in Carleton Place. David moved the family to Strathroy with his new wife in 1911.
Associated names on Samuel's 1850 marriage certificate were Samuel BURNS Senior and Alexander BURNS); on David's baptism John BURNS (Glasgow, 1853).

Best wishes,
Judy McCoy
P.S. - My uncle's name was Robert Burns.
