This has the form of an English surname but it is not found in English sources and may rather be an Americanized form of German Jungleib (a nickname meaning ‘young man’), of which the second element has been mistaken for Lieb ‘love’.

I am a descendant of Irena Younglove. Her parents were Samuel Younglove and Sarah Pitts. Irena was born 12 Feb 1758 in Killingly, Windham, Ct. On 17 April 1780 she married Jeremiah Pitts from Ashford, Windham Ct. They had five children, Salla, Rachal, Samuel, Persa and Perley. I would like a date of death and place of death for Irena. If anyone is following this line, perhaps we can share information.

I am a descendant of Rev. John Younglove (@1640 - 1690) of Suffield CT, through his daughter Lydia. I have some information on his father, Samuel, but nothing further.
