Hi Sherry, I'll be away myself for a while but when I return I will pull my Yerkes material together and review what I have. I'm glad I found you.

Hello Jim, I have a lot of history figured out with my side of the family also. It's in storage right now. My husband and I are involved in a huge home remodel project. My Grandfather Howard Kenneth Yerkes was a "High Bishop" in the Mormon Church and did much of the family tree searching to begin with. I think most all of the "Yerkes" lead back to Harmon Yerkes. It will be fun to find the branch-off that your wife and I share.

My wife is a direct descendant of the Yerkes of Pa (Harmon Yerkes, 1720-1804, Moreland, Montgomery, PA). I have been doing a lot of work on her family but have not concentrated on Yerkes primarily but will do so in the coming weeks.
