That's good.   Levenia Winmill is John Gates Mother name.  I'm looking for her Mother & Father names

Do you have any info on her?

I have his father William Windmill & his parents John & Mary.

I do not descend from John Windmill and Sarah Brazil. I believe this is another Windmill family from Wing. I do however descend from John Gates Windmill 1st wife Louisa Sleath (these are my Gt.Grandparents) 2nd marriage to Emily Sarah Page both took place in Bethnal Green London. It would appear that John Gates Windmill was a bigamist. I know you have a marriage for John Gates Windmill and believe Hannah Pollard? Do you have a copy of the marriage? I have seen the original of the first marriage which is in my families possession.

Thank you for the info.

No, I don't have a original copy just the write up from the Census.

This John -- Parents were William & Levenia Windmill. So I think it's diff. too

I found some cards from the Page family but the names  are  Annie Eliza,  Edward  & some others

so that may be a other family too.

With the same names all the time It's so hard to keep track 

Who else is doing the Windmill  friend tree?

There are a few things I have found for you. Marriage for John Windmill and Hannah Pollard 1865 Wing. Details in case you want to send off for certificate 4th Quarter 1865 Bedfordshire Volume 3b page 950. Hannah's father Edward Pollard and  mother Eliza Rickard, they married 5/2/1834 in Wing. Not sure if Edward was born in Wing, but Rickard I am sure is a family from Wing.

The marriage I mentioned of John Gates Windmill to Emily Sarah Page took place in London Bethnal Green and Emily came from Middlesex London, so there is no connection to the Page family from Wing. John Gates Windmill was born in Gloucestershire, as his father was a Taxman and travelled around a lot. As I said I think you are looking for a John Windmill and not a John Gates Windmill.

I am sure I have seen a christening for Hannah Pollard I will look again for you and send details.

Heather Buttle is also researching Windmill family, as she also descends from the same Windmills' as myself. She descends from John Gates Windmill's brother William.

& that is: The Marriage was Dec 10, 1865 Wing. Buckingham England 

John was 21 & Hannah Pollard was 19

and the 1900 Census RG9/302
