Recieved an e-mail re: Mary Clarke and John Whit asking for information. Here is what I found - information is from the extracted records porgram...There marriage is listed as 4 July 1840 at St Edmonds, Salisbury, Wiltshire, England, There is no more info about the couple but the fathers are - William White and Thomas Clarke. I hope that this info helps.
Regards, Kathleen

Thank you very much for adding me to your group. I am not certain the information I have is accurate or even pertains to my Wiltons but the census I saw included folks born in Bromham and Warminster both said to be in Wiltshire....family history is fascinating but this particular family line seems a bit elusive.....William Wilton was listed as an army pensioner....also shows Eliza Wilton b. Norfolk Island Australia and a Samuel J Wilton Launceston, Australia on that same 1871 England census....so I am thoroughly confused.

Seeking any information on WILTON ancestors in my Wilton Lineage, Have had world ancestry and ancestry subscriptions....finances forced cutback to just ancestry. The only information I was able to obtain with anything that might connect my WILTON line to English ancestors was an 1871 England census showing a William Wilton b. abt. 1814, Mansfield, Nottinghamshire, England...a wife Jane 40, a laundress born Bromham, Wiltshire, daughter Agnes W 7, Warminster, Wiltshire, son Charles W 9 Bromham, Wiltshire and a second daughter Eliza W 17 a dress makers apprentice....not certain what happened to William, but Charles immigrated to USA in 1881 followed a couple of years later by a Jane Wilton and a George Whyte/White all show up in a 1910 US census living together in Pennsylvania Charles and a Byron Wilton I assume a son to Charles.......ANYONE with ANY information pertaining to this Wilton line I would truly appreciate hearing from you.....almost 10 years on the Family Tree nearly 4,000 people and I can't even find my own fathers ancestors.....I believe William to be my great great grandfather and Charles to be my great grandfather but have little information on either. Again Than you for your help
