My West was Lucy West who was born ca 1813 in PA. She was apparently the daughter of Simeon West of Bradford Co. PA. She married Charles Avery ca 1814 -1909. Lucy died in 1901 at age 88. They are buried in Gillets PA.
My WEST line is William West and his wife Keziah who lived in Adams Co, MS by 1782. I have seen listings that say William was born in 1740 in Isle of Wight, VA and his father was Frances West. and they go back to Lord de la Ware, John West, governor of Virginia in 1635. I have not seen this proven!!
I have proof of William, his son Littleberry and the immigration of LIttleberrry's children to East Texas by 1840s. LIttleberry West children were: William born abt 1788, Richard born abt 1790, Acquilla born abt 1792, Levi born about 1794, Gadi born about 1796, Berry Bayne born abt 1798, Rhoda who married Honor Cryer, Keziah, Anthony and Lavina West. Most were born in Natchez District MS. Littleberry moved to LA by 1798. He had at least two wives, Tabitha and Elenor Carter who he married 12 Aug 1826 in St. Tammany Parish, LA.

The Berry West listed as a Louisiana Veteran of the War of 1812 is probably Littleberry. Also listed are Cato West and Gadi West.

Time line of Littleberry West:
1794 - Inhabited and cultivated land on Sandy Creek in Adams Co. MS
13 Apr 1798 - sells land in Natchez Prov. of LA.
26 Oct 1807 - Land grant approved West of the Pearl River, 160 ac. on waters of Homechitto River.
1820 Census - Shown in both Washington & St. Tammany Parish LA
1826 - Littleberry married Eleanor Carter Langston ( widow) St Tammany Parish LA
30 July 1829 - 320 ac. sold to Eleanor Carter West on Boque Chillo River (Gadi West's land). Jesse Jones Probate Judge.
????? - Eleanor West sells 640 ac in East Feliciana Parish LA
1830 Census - Eleanor in St Tammany Parish LA
1840 Census - Eleanor in Natchitoches Parish LA
My g-grandfather was Ludwig West. His wife was Augusta Schroeder and they immigrated from Germany Feb. 21, 1883. They came with 3 children: Otto, Reinholdt and Clara. They settled in Ohio (Lorain & Cuyahoga Counties) and had 4 more children: Agnes, Frank, Louis and Margaret. Ludwig was born 11/24/1851 I think in Hamburg, Germany (no records found yet) and he died in Elyria, Ohio 5/12/1927. Augusta was born 9/19/1851 in West Prussia ( I have some references to 2 brothers and 1 sister & parents) and she died in Elyria, Ohio 9/9/1924. Otto b: 11/24/1872 in Germany (no records found yet), had 4 wives and 3 children, d: 9/8/1952. Reinholdt b:1/2/1876 married once and had 6 children, d: 7/19/1957. Clara b: 8/12/1877 in West Prussia, married once and had 4 children. Agnes b: 2/8/1884 in Grafton, OH married once and had 3 children, d: 10/4/1930. Frank b: 1/14/1889 in Elyria, OH. married once and had 4 children, d: 6/22/1958. Louis b: 8/15/1890 married once and had no children, d: 5/10/1926. Margaret b: 5/14/1892 married twice & 2 children, d: 12/31/1963. I have census, marriage, divorce, birth and death records, obits and some pictures.
My Wests were Jesse E West. 1842 -1890 He died in Kansas, was from Springhill, Fayette Co. PA . I matched him to his parents: Phineas West 1815-1904 and Lidia Lewellen West 1814-1900 in Springhill, Fayette Co. PA. I believe the father and mother of Phineas was Nathaniel West (Nathaniel's birthplace New Jersey) and Mary Everly in Monongalia Co, West Virginia. I have children listing of Phineas, quite a large family (if any interest).
