My Welter line can be confirmed from my great  grandmother, Mary Christine Warner welter and her husband, Anton Welter to Anna or Annie Neuens Welter and Heinrich, Henry or Heinrick Welter who can be traced to the Wisconsin/Minnesota area.  The East Ottertail County Historical Society and Museum is very helpful in researching anyone with an association to the area or a surname that ties to the area.  I will start researching the Remmesweiler, Germany to see if that is helpful in my search.

My Welter line came to the United States from Remmesweiler, Germany in 1846 and settled in St. Joseph County, Indiana.
