Hello Wells group!
My WELLS line runs from Junction City, Kansas to Breckenridge, KY. Any wells from those two states?
Thanks,
Lou Miles

More about George and Elizabeth -
Marriage date - http://files.usgwarchives.net/ky/bourbon/vitals/marriages/marriages.txt

There are 2 Sparks Cemeteries by Doe Creek - but no indexes -
http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~kyestill/cemetery/index.htm

Sparks Family Contact
http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~kyestill/family/sparks/index.htm

You could also try looking at microfilm in your local Family History Center for the 3 counties in Kentucky - try Vital Records, Cemetery Records and Church Records - look for Churches that existed 1795 - 1800 - a church may have recorded her death date. High chance the Elizabeth died not long before George remarried - men and infants did not do well alone then. Also, try the surrounding counties - George and Elizabeth could have been living in the county next door to Clark County when Elizabeth died.

Now for Elizabeth's father - Col. Richard Tidely Wells Sr:
This message suggests that Elizabeth is part of the 'Little Wells' family -
http://listsearches.rootsweb.com/th/read/LittleWells/2000-11/0974711373 - so you may want to search the archives of this list to potentially find more details about Elizabeth, her family, and other researchers.

Explanation of Big Wells and Little Wells:

Good luck...

Hi Tina,

The site was a BIG help. Now, I know who Elizabeth's father is. But, I still don't have a death date. But I may never know, when or where Elizabeth died.
Thank you so much.

Hi Debra,

This site has some information about your family: http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~hillmer/DNA/index.htm

Click on Option 1 - W001-W999 DNA Tested and Non-Tested or Maternal Linages. Select the Chart Button - she is part of Chart W008. Easiest to click Ctrl+F and find the Sparks name on the screen. Each name can be double-clicked for more info. Looks like they have several generations above Elizabeth - just not full info on each person.

Loooking for Elizabeth Wells. She was born abt. 1780 in Pennsylvania and married George Sparks abt. 1795. She died between Jan 1799 and Jan 27, 1800. Her son William was born Jan 1799 in Estill County, Kentucky and George remarried on Jan 27, 1800 in Clark County, Kentucky.

Winston Herbert Wells was a grandson of Manson Wells and an uncle to my father-in-law. I don't know what he was doing - but I thought the picture was just perfect. Hope his g-granddaughter doesn't mind that I used his picture. Our family tree is at ancestry.

Hoping someone out there know something about Mason/Manson Wills/Wells. He was in southern Chesterfield County, Virginia on the 1850 census. In 1852, he married Eleanor Whitmore. They had 1 or 2 children in Petersburg. By 1860, they had moved to Johnston County, North Carolina with 3 children. Eleanor died between 1880 -1900 and Manson died in 1900. His obituary and marriage record does not mention parents' names. Family lore says that his family came from Dinwiddie County, Virginia.
