I'm descended from Hannah Webster (1634/5 - 1709)  who married Michael Emerson in Haverhill, Massachusetts.

My Websters end with my mother, who is the only child of the only son in the family. Mac Webster was my great grandfather, and his brothers and sisters were Virgil, Journ, Ione, Minnie, and a couple of the others I do not have names for right now. They were in Northwest GA, around Bartow, Cobb and Cherokee counties. Descendants still live there today. I am a newbie!

My Websters are ancestors on my mother's side and were employed in the Bristol (England) pottery trade throughout the 19th century.

Your Websters and mine are from different families then, unless it goes way way back further. My Webster is Thomas, who came as a boy with his mother and step-father around 1638. They settled in Hampton NH.

My Webster line traces back to the mid 1400s. I have not confirmed through my own research whether the information between the earliest time and the late 1500s is in fact correct (still working on that!). But I do know for sure, that I can trace back to Gov. John Webster (1590-1661); he is my 11th great-grandfather.
