Trying to find John Watson b. 1820, PA moved to Louisville, KY where he married 1849 to Sophia Collingridge then her family and him and Sophia with daughter Josephine moved to CA in abt 1852. Who are his parents? or Siblings?

Named his sons William Dodge and Albert Malchin which were carried on to his grandsons. He is my large brick wall. Oh he is also Irish according FTDNA.

I'm looking for william Watson born about 1854 and lived in Grainger County, TN. He was married to Martha Mallicoat. They had twin daughters , Susan and Maggie Watson. They also had a son named James who was younger than the twins. Susan was my great grandmother. I have not found any other information about him.

Hi, thanks for the add to your group.

I am descended from a Watson, but I have hit a wall trying to finding out more about this ancestor.

My g-g-g grandfather was a Dr. W. W. Watson, born in 1814, possibly in North Carolina. I do not have a month or day nor do I know his parents' names. W. W. may stand for William Wilkins. I believe his family may have moved to Tennessee from NC, and he went to Jefferson Medical School in Philadelphia and graduated and then married Elizabeth Marple Kite 5-25-1837 in Philadelphia. I believe they may have moved to Tennessee or another territory perhaps. Elizabeth & WW had two sons, William Wilkins b. 1843, and my g-g grandfather John Maclaren b. 3-29-1845. W.W. died in 1847 and I think he is buried in Tennessee perhaps. I then think that my g-g-g grandmother may have moved back to Pennsylvania to live with/near her family with the boys. I believe that since my g-g grandfather John met and then married Ann Lawrence Stokes 5-1-1873 in Philadelphia.

Anyone who knows of a Watson family migration to Tennessee from North Carolina in the late 1700s or early 1800s could greatly assist me, especially if there is a tie to the names Wilkins or Maclaren, which as they are used as middle names, I think were probably family names at one time.

Thanks!
