You are correct.
I have seen Peggy's website. I'v aslo emailed with her about the Lardie family.
I have done quite a bit of research on the Lardie family. My Great Grandmother was Lillian Helen (Lardie) Wood.

I believe that Mary Catherine was my great Grandmother. My father was Isadore Lardie Jr.

I am currently reserching the family of Isadore and Mary (Deverney) Valley. Isadore was born 17 Sept 1833 or 1834 in Canada and died 1 Jun 1916. He married Mary Deverney. She was born 11 Feb 1837 in Wisconsin. I am told that Mary was Native American and may have been the daughter of the Chief (this is unsubstaintiated). He father's name was John Deverney. Mary died 3 Jun 1916. She and Isadore were buried in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Mapleton, MIchigan on the 6 Jun 1916.
They had 5 children:

Rose Magdalene b. 4 May 1854 (?)
Mary Catherine b. 20 Sept 1865
Francis J. b. 16 Sept 1867 (female Francis)
George H. b. 2 May 1869
John Peter b. 19 Feb 1873
