Hey Group, My great grandmother was named Elizabeth Ann Tindale. She was from Co. Durham England.

The Tyndale name actually goes clear back to 1125 and earlier.

Looking for a connect between Tindall & General Robert E. Lee. I am trying to prove or disprove a family story that we are related to Gen. Robert E. Lee. I was told when I was very little that he was my 4th or 5th Great grandfather. It was my Aunt Esta Tindall that told me this along with G-ma Tindall who sang a "home-made" song with the names of the women in our family line related to him.
I was also told that the family was granted the land that Langley Castle is now on in England. The name was spelled Tyndale in 1435.
